We are looking for an experienced Preconstruction Scheduler & Starts Coordinator to play a key role in our successful, expanding business. The role

You will develop and maintain accurate preconstruction schedules and purchase orders, making sure every project is correctly programmed, monitored and progressed towards its forecast commencement date. You will also give the business clear visibility of the pipeline, flagging scheduling risks early and providing reliable information to support planning and construction start targets.

Preconstruction scheduling

- Develop and maintain detailed schedules across multiple residential projects.

- Set realistic timelines based on each job's requirements, dependencies, and critical milestones.

- Monitor scheduling accuracy, progress, and forecast commencement dates.

- Identify delays, conflicts, and critical path issues before they affect construction starts.

- Maintain reliable short- and medium-term starts forecasts.

- Analyse scheduling performance, spot trends and recommend improvements to planning efficiency.

- Work closely with drafting, estimating, approvals, and construction teams so schedules reflect actual progress.

- Uphold exceptional data integrity,



reporting accuracy, and accountability.

Slab starts

You will also oversee the planning and coordination of projects moving into construction, including:

- Managing the forward slab starts program to meet monthly commencement targets.

- Ensuring all preconstruction milestones and documentation are complete before site commencement.

- Completed job schedule prior to slab commencement

- Coordinating with internal departments to confirm construction readiness

- Identifying and resolving issues that could affect scheduled starts.

- Keeping the construction team informed of upcoming commencements.

- Delivering a consistent flow of projects from preconstruction into construction

About you

You are an experienced scheduling professional who values accuracy, understands the importance of reliable programming, and has the confidence to manage a demanding residential pipeline. Ideally, you will bring:

- Proven experience in residential preconstruction scheduling, construction programming, or a similar role

- Solid knowledge of the Perth residential building industry and the processes leading to site commencement.

- Exceptional accuracy, analytical ability, and attention to detail

- The ability to manage complex schedules across a high volume of projects.

- A solid understanding of critical milestones, dependencies and starts forecasting.

- Advanced organisational, problem-solving and time-management skills

- Confidence with construction management software, scheduling systems, and reporting tools

- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work across departments.

- A proactive, accountable, results-driven approach

- Volume residential building experience (highly regarded)
