About the role

We are seeking enthusiastic and personable Cellar Door Staff to join our team on a casual basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of the vibrant hospitality and tourism industry at one of the Hunter Valley's distinguished wineries. Based in Pokolbin, NSW, you will be the face of Hanging Tree Wines, welcoming guests, showcasing our products, and delivering exceptional customer service. This role is perfect for individuals who are flexible, adaptable, and passionate about wine and hospitality.

Key responsibilities

- Greeting and welcoming guests to the cellar door with genuine warmth and professionalism

- Providing knowledgeable recommendations and information about our wine range and tasting notes

- Conducting wine tastings and guiding guests through the tasting experience

- Processing sales transactions efficiently and accurately using point-of-sale systems

- Handling customer inquiries and providing exceptional service to ensure guest satisfaction

- Maintaining a clean, organised and inviting cellar door environment

- Assisting with promotional activities and events as required

- Building relationships with regular customers and encouraging repeat visits

- Following all health, safety and hygiene protocols





What we're looking for

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage guests from diverse backgrounds

- A genuine passion for wine, hospitality, or a willingness to learn about our products

- Previous customer service or hospitality experience (desirable but not essential for the right candidate)

- A friendly, positive attitude and professional demeanour

- Reliability and flexibility to work casual shifts, including weekends and public holidays

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Basic numeracy skills and comfort using technology and point-of-sale systems

- Full working rights in Australia and a valid RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) certificate or willingness to obtain one

- A keen interest in providing exceptional customer experiences
