Ekam Global Pty Ltd is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Representative to join our growing team on a contract basis with an option for visa sponsorship for the right candidate. Based in Epping, VIC 3076, this role offers an exciting opportunity to drive sales growth and build lasting client relationships. This position plays a crucial role in supporting Ekam Global's expansion strategy and contributing to our continued market success.

About the role

As a Sales Representative, you will be instrumental in identifying new business opportunities, engaging with prospective clients, and converting leads into valuable orders. You’ll work with Ekam’s internal team to follow up on opportunities, provide accurate forecasts and deliver a reliable customer experience.

The role will manage an agreed territory and customer portfolio, with clear account allocation across the sales team.

Key responsibilities

- Identify prospective customers and decision-makers through research, calls, email and in-person visits.

- Build and manage a qualified pipeline of new business opportunities.

- Sell rigid food packaging and food ingredients to manufacturers and other B2B customers.

- Understand customer needs and recommend suitable products, samples and solutions.

- Prepare and follow up on quotations, samples and proposals.

- Win current accounts and grow sales through cross-selling and upselling.

- Maintain regular contact with customers and provide responsive service.

- Record sales activities, opportunities, forecasts and next steps in the company’s systems.

- Meet agreed sales, revenue and gross margin targets.

- Work with colleagues to coordinate account coverage and ensure customers receive consistent follow-up.

- Travel within the allocated territory to meet customers and develop opportunities.

About you





You are a self-starter who enjoys building relationships and generating new business. You are resilient, organised and comfortable managing your work independently while staying connected with a supportive team.

You will ideally have:

- 2–3 years’ experience in B2B sales, business development or account management.

- Experience selling packaging, food ingredients or related products.

- Existing relationships with food manufacturers, ingredient users, packaging buyers or distributors.

- Confidence with prospecting, cold calling, customer visits and commercial negotiations.

- Strong communication, follow-up and time-management skills.

- A valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel within the allocated territory.

- Familiarity with a CRM or sales planning system.

- Experience in rigid food packaging or ingredients sales to the food, health and wellness, cosmetics or olive oil industries will be highly regarded.
