About the role

You'll run projects from the moment a job is won until the final handover. You'll be the main contact for builders, and you'll work closely with our workshop and install teams.

Key responsibilities

- Manage a number of projects at once, from start to finish

- Be the main contact for builders and site managers

- Manage design and shop drawing production

- Plan and update project timelines so they match the builder's program

- Work with the workshop team to plan and schedule fabrication, so jobs are made in the right order and ready when site needs them

- Work with the install team to plan and schedule installs, and help make sure the finished work is right

- Make sure materials and finishes are ordered on time

- Handle variations, progress claims and project paperwork

About you

- Proven experience managing aluminium fabrication and installation on multi-storey residential and commercial projects (highly regarded)

- A good understanding of how balustrades, screens and similar products are made, installed and the standards to follow

- A hands-on approach.



You're happy to get involved in sorting out what each job needs, from design, fixings, hardware through to materials

- Experience working with builders and head contractors on larger sites

- Robust organisation skills, and the ability to juggle several jobs at once

- A team player who communicates clearly and confidently, both on site and in the office

- Comfortable with computers, emails and project software

- Current White Card and driver's licence

GenFab Engineering is a Sunshine Coast aluminium fabrication business. We make and install aluminium balustrades, screens, handrails, gates and pool fencing for builders across Southeast Queensland. We have a strong pipeline of work, and we need an experienced Project Manager to help us deliver it.
