We’re a vibrant, busy pub in the tourist heart of the Port, with a solid focus on local beers, wine and spirits, great food, and excellent customer service. We also have a newly renovated bar and functions space which will be host to many types of events. We’re looking for an experienced Duty Manager to assist with all the daily operations of the hotel. You must be an honest and trustworthy individual who is reliable, team focused with excellent communication skills. Experience in running all aspects of a hotel is a necessity.

Key duties and responsibilities:

- Function managing experience will be looked upon favourably

- Opening and closing the hotel

- Staff supervision and management

- Stock control and cash management

- Complaint handling and conflict resolution

- Enforcing the policies and procedures of the hotel

The successful applicant will possess the following attributes:

- Proven supervisory skills and communication skills

- An ability to provide a high level of customer service

- Be a team player

- An understanding of cellar operations

- RSA certificate, RSG, and Responsible Persons badge a must

The applicant must be able to work nights and weekends on a flexible 7 day roster.
