Work Type: Part Time - set days to be advised 8am-5pm (ability to work occasional Saturday’s and cover sick and annual leave)

About the Role

We are seeking an organised and empathetic Medical Receptionist to join our busy clinic. As the first point of contact, you will play a vital role in managing the front desk and supporting the day-to-day coordination of patient care to ensure the clinic runs smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

· Front desk Reception duties, manage incoming telephone enquiries in a professional manner.

· Coordinate appointment scheduling, manage patient recalls, and maintain active waiting lists.

· Process payments and navigate Medicare billing and claims efficiently.





· Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records within our practice management system.

· Liaise with hospitals, specialists, referrers, and external healthcare providers.

· Support day-to-day clinic coordination to ensure seamless patient care.

Skills and Experience

· Proven experience as a Medical Receptionist or within a healthcare administration role (desirable).

· Strong knowledge of Medicare processing, health funds, and billing workflows (desirable).

· Proficiency with Genie practice software (desirable).

· Exceptional communication skills with a compassionate, patient-first approach.

· High attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

· Maintaining confidentiality and always adhering to health information privacy requirements.
