Smile On Clinics | Illumident Port Fairy

Smile On Illumident Port Fairy is looking for a Dental Receptionist to join our team, with some chairside dental assisting as part of the role.

We’re not interested in simply filling a position. We’re looking for someone who wants to become an significant part of a team that genuinely cares about the experience we create for our patients, colleagues and community.

This role is primarily focused on reception and patient coordination, helping ensure our practice runs smoothly and every patient feels welcomed and cared for. You’ll also have the chance to support our clinicians with chairside assisting when needed.

About the role

You’ll be involved in:
Welcoming patients and creating a warm, positive first impression
Managing appointments, bookings and patient enquiries
Answering phone calls and assisting patients with their queries
Supporting the day-to-day administration and smooth running of reception
Coordinating with clinicians and the wider team to deliver an exceptional patient experience
Providing chairside dental assisting and preparing treatment rooms when required
Supporting sterilisation and infection control procedures as needed

About you





We’re looking for someone who is:
Friendly, confident and professional, with a genuine passion for patient care
Organised, reliable and attentive to detail
An excellent communicator who enjoys interacting with people
Proactive, adaptable and able to manage competing priorities
Calm under pressure and comfortable working in a busy practice
A team player who takes pride in creating a positive experience for patients and colleagues
Experienced in dental reception or administration, with dental assisting experience or a willingness to assist when required
Experience using dental practice management software, such as Zavy, would be an advantage but is not essential.

A Certificate III in Dental Assisting would be highly regarded.
