Pista House Brisbane is a hospitality business offering a range of food and dining experiences. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Chef to join our kitchen team and contribute to the preparation and consistent delivery of high-quality dishes.

About the Role

The Chef will be responsible for preparing and cooking menu items, maintaining food quality and presentation, and ensuring productive kitchen operations. The successful candidate will work closely with the kitchen team to maintain food safety, hygiene and service standards.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare, cook and present dishes in accordance with menu specifications and quality standards.
Plan and organise food preparation to support efficient kitchen operations.
Monitor food quality, portion sizes and presentation.
Maintain appropriate stock levels and assist with ordering ingredients and kitchen supplies.




Inspect ingredients for freshness and ensure proper storage and handling.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene throughout the kitchen in accordance with food safety requirements.
Monitor kitchen equipment and report maintenance requirements.
Minimise food waste and maintain appropriate food cost controls.
Work collaboratively with kitchen and service staff to ensure timely food preparation.
Follow workplace health and safety procedures.

Skills and Experience
Relevant commercial cookery qualifications or equivalent practical experience.
Previous experience working as a Chef in a commercial kitchen.
Knowledge of food preparation techniques, menu requirements and food safety standards.
Ability to work efficiently in a busy hospitality workplace.
Good organizational, communication and teamwork skills.
