Senior FP&A; Analyst | Growing Biotech | Inner Melbourne

$120K to $140K + super

This is a fast-growing biotech business in the middle of a global expansion, with a world-class product, solid investor backing, and sales growing across multiple regions. They’re looking for a Senior FP&A; Analyst to take ownership of forecasting and planning and work directly with leadership as the business scales.

If you’re an analyst who’s ready for more ownership and visibility than a large company would give you at this stage, this is that step.

A big part of the role is working closely with the sales team. You’ll learn the seasonal patterns that drive demand, understand what’s behind the peaks and troughs, and turn that into forecasts the business can plan around. You’ll report to the CFO and be in the room for real decisions, not just reporting on them afterwards.

This is a lean business, so there’s no big finance team or complex system to work around. It’s Xero and Excel, and you’ll have the chance to build and improve how forecasting and reporting are done.

What you’ll be doing
Lead budgeting, forecasting and monthly performance reporting




Work with sales to understand seasonal cycles and build them into practical forecasts
Explain revenue, margin and cost results to leadership in plain terms
Build models to support pricing, investment and growth decisions
Improve and automate reporting as the business scales
Support the CFO with board and investor reporting

What you’ll bring
3 to 6 years in finance, with solid FP&A; or management reporting experience
CA, CPA or working towards it
Robust Excel and modelling skills, with Power BI or similar a plus
Exposure to working with sales or commercial teams
Experience with Xero or similar cloud accounting platforms (highly regarded)
A hands-on approach and comfort working without a lot of structure around you
Confidence to explain numbers to non-finance people
