Our client, Chai Leaf Cafe, is a locally owned and operated cafe offering quality food and a relaxed atmosphere for a dine-in experience with loved ones. Located in Dandenong, Victoria, the cafe combines a modern dining experience, showcasing regional ingredients and a solid focus on community and hospitality.

They are currently seeking a Cook to join their team. As a Cook, you will have the opportunity to work in a truly agile team with the chance to display creativity in the dishes that will be created. You will be able to hone your cooking skills and techniques as well as have the freedom to express yourself in the dishes you create.

This is for a full time role with an annual salary of $80,000 to $85,000 plus superannuation.

Duties will include:
Prepare, season and cook food according to recipes and menu requirements.




Check food ingredients and supplies to ensure quality and freshness.
Operate and monitor ovens, grills and other cooking equipment.
Portion, plate and garnish food for service.
Store food safely and follow food safety and hygiene standards.
Prepare meals to meet special dietary requirements.
Assist with menu planning and estimate food and ingredient requirements.
Monitor food preparation and cooking to maintain quality and consistency.
Maintain a clean and organised kitchen and work area.
Train and assist kitchen staff and apprentices in food preparation and kitchen procedures.
