Period of Appointment
Appointment to the role is on a fixed term basis for three (3) years
Duties:
Advise, assist, and monitor high-performance athletes' training objectives, ensuring compliance with national guidelines and policies.
Collaborate with AA's High-Performance Systems and Performance and Coaching departments, contributing to the overall high-performance program and TIS athletics program.
Establish close relationships with athletes and coaches, providing support and guidance for training plans and long-term goals.
Facilitate communication and integration between Member Association programs, the State Athletics Performance Program, and AA's High-Performance strategy.
Attend athletics competitions,



keeping track of athlete performances and rankings.
Manage resources, facilities, consultancies, and the budget of the TIS Athletics Program.
Available to fulfill National Team Coach duties and provide updates on athletes' plans and progress.
Identify and propose athletes with significant performance outcomes for potential categorisation within the NASS program and selection to the PTP program.
Engage the state-wide athletics community, including coaching and athlete development clinics.
Perform other allocated duties as required.

Current Tasmanian Working with Children Registration
Current First Aid Certificate
Current Driver Licence




Successful completion of Sport Integrity Australia's Ethical Decision Making & Introduction to Match Fixing online education modules
The person must continue to satisfy the above essential requirements/qualifications throughout their employment in this role.
Coaching certification and or experience in the athletics pathway's environment and with other sporting disciplines at national and/or international level would be deemed an advantage.
Demonstrated sound knowledge and/or qualification in either sports performance services, sports science, strength & conditioning, performance analysis.
