HR Tilt Tray Truck Driver / Yardperson
About Us
Power Systems Australia Pty Ltd is an established diesel generator sales, manufacturing and servicing company based in Laverton North, Victoria.
We are seeking a reliable, experienced and motivated HR Tilt Tray Truck Driver / Yardperson to join our growing team.
This is a hands‐on, varied position combining truck driving, equipment transportation, vehicle detailing, yard maintenance and general workshop assistance.
We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, is confident operating heavy vehicles and enjoys being part of a busy workshop environment.
Key Responsibilities
Truck Driving & Transport
Safely operate our HR tilt tray truck to transport diesel generators, machinery and equipment.
Confidently load, secure, transport and unload equipment using the tilt tray.
Complete local and regional deliveries and collections, with occasional longer‐distance trips as required.
Safely operate forklifts to load, unload and move equipment around our premises.
Ensure all loads are correctly restrained and transported in accordance with relevant regulations.
Conduct daily vehicle checks and maintain trucks in a clean and presentable condition.
Yard & Workshop Duties
Wash, detail and maintain the presentation of company trucks, cars, generators and other equipment.
Maintain a clean, organised and safe yard and workshop workplace.
Assist with general yard maintenance, cleaning and housekeeping.
Assist our in-house diesel mechanics and electricians with general workshop tasks, equipment preparation and handling.
Assist with moving,



positioning and preparing generators for servicing, modification and delivery.
Perform other general yard and workshop duties as required.
Essential Requirements
Minimum HR driver's licence with non-synchromesh (Road Ranger) competency.
Current forklift (LF) high-risk work licence.
Proven experience and confidence operating tilt tray trucks.
Experience safely loading, unloading and securing machinery or heavy equipment.
Good understanding of load restraint and heavy vehicle safety requirements.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good attention to detail and pride in maintaining vehicles and equipment.
Physically capable of performing general yard and workshop duties.
Reliable, punctual and willing to assist wherever required.
Highly Regarded
HC driver's licence.
Experience transporting generators, machinery or industrial equipment.
Mechanical aptitude or previous experience in a workshop, transport or equipment hire environment.
Experience operating other machinery or equipment.

Employment Arrangement
The position will initially be offered on a casual basis for approximately three months, with regular weekday hours anticipated.
Following this initial period, there is an opportunity to transition into permanent full-time employment, subject to satisfactory performance, suitability, business requirements and mutual agreement.
