About the Role The Head of Department English and Humanities will work to develop and build the skills of their faculty which often includes early career teachers and permission to teach teachers.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to: Lead the development and implementation of a shared educational vision that promotes high-quality learning outcomes for all students.
Foster an inclusive, socially just school culture while maintaining high expectations for student achievement and staff performance.
Demonstrate a commitment to lifelong learning, skilled growth, strategic planning and future-focused educational leadership.
Build collaborative partnerships with students, parents, government agencies and community organisations to support student learning and wellbeing.
Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and departmental policies while effectively managing human, financial, facilities and curriculum resources to achieve school priorities and goals.
