Bis is seeking a hands-on IT Project Manager to help deliver our systems modernisation program.
Reporting to the IT Manager, your primary focus will be our JD Edwards (JDE) ERP platform upgrade, alongside other IT initiatives, including SharePoint and collaboration improvements.
You'll take ownership of delivery from planning through to implementation, managing budgets, vendors, timelines and risks while keeping the business engaged along the way.
A key part of your role will be drawing out information from subject matter experts across all levels of the business.
You'll understand what teams need, clarify how they work and translate those requirements into clear actions for our technical teams and delivery partners.
You'll help ensure the ERP solution supports business processes and delivers meaningful improvements.
What you'll be doing Managing project scope, plans, budgets, forecasts and dependencies across concurrent IT projects.
Bringing together operational teams, business leaders, subject matter experts and technical specialists to resolve issues and make decisions.
Facilitating workshops, asking the right questions and translating business needs into clear requirements and agreed outcomes.
Working with vendors and implementation partners to assess proposals, confirm deliverables and hold them accountable for quality, cost and milestones.
Using your technical understanding to challenge assumptions, identify gaps and recognise when something needs further investigation.
Managing risks, issues and changes, with clear reporting and timely escalation.
Coordinating testing, business sign-off, training and operational handover so teams are ready to use and support the solution.
About you You're a practical project manager who gets involved,



builds relationships and keeps delivery moving.
You can work confidently with people at every level, bring different perspectives together and help teams reach decisions that support the project and the wider business.
You'll bring: Demonstrated experience delivering IT projects from planning through to implementation, ideally involving ERP or business systems.
Strong vendor management and commercial skills, including managing budgets, reviewing proposals and monitoring delivery against agreed commitments.
An IT background or sufficient technical understanding to follow discussions, ask informed questions and recognise potential issues.
The ability to draw out requirements from busy subject matter experts and connect business needs with system capabilities.
Experience influencing cross-functional teams and achieving outcomes without direct reporting authority.
A background in manufacturing or a comparable operational setting, such as mining, engineering, logistics or industrial services.
Clear communication, sound judgement and a focus on practical business outcomes.
Experience with Oracle ERP systems would be highly regarded, particularly JD Edwards (JDE) but not a must have.
Project management qualifications such as PMP or PRINCE2 are also desirable.
