Principal Advisor - Platform Design & Delivery (SAP Accounts Payable)

We are seeking an experienced
SAP Accounts Payable SME / Solution Architect
to join a major enterprise transformation program. Working within a large-scale SAP S/4HANA environment, you will provide design leadership, architecture assurance, and functional expertise across Accounts Payable and Procure-to-Pay processes.
This is an chance to influence strategic technology decisions, partner with senior stakeholders, and ensure the successful delivery of a modern finance platform.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the design authority for SAP Accounts Payable solutions.
Provide architecture oversight and design assurance for SAP S/4HANA finance capabilities.
Review, challenge, and validate solution designs produced by delivery partners and system integrators.
Ensure integration between SAP and associated platforms including invoice management and procurement solutions.
Drive best-practice outcomes across AP, invoice processing, approval workflows, and vendor management.
Support solution governance, risk management, security, and compliance requirements.
Collaborate with business, architecture, delivery, and vendor teams to deliver fit-for-purpose solutions.
Contribute to strategic roadmap planning and continuous improvement initiatives.
About You




You are a senior SAP professional with a strong blend of functional expertise, architecture capability, and stakeholder engagement skills.
You will bring
Extensive experience within SAP Finance, particularly
Accounts Payable (FI-AP)
.
Proven experience delivering or supporting
SAP S/4HANA transformation programs
.
Strong knowledge of Procure-to-Pay (P2P) and invoice management processes.
Experience with
OpenText Vendor Invoice Management (VIM)
or similar AP automation solutions.
Exposure to
SAP Ariba
, SAP Business Network, or procurement platforms.
Experience reviewing and assuring solution designs from implementation partners.
Strong communication skills with the ability to influence technical and business stakeholders.
Experience operating at Lead Consultant, Architect, Principal Consultant, or Design Authority level.
