DescriptionMechanical Engineer, Building Services | AdelaideWe're growing our Mechanical Building Services team in Adelaide and are looking for an Intermediate Mechanical Engineer ready to take the next step in their career.This is a great chance to work alongside experienced engineers and technical specialists across a diverse portfolio of projects, while continuing to develop your technical, design and project delivery capabilities.About the OpportunityOur Property & Buildings team delivers multidisciplinary engineering solutions across a broad range of sectors, including commercial, defence, education, healthcare, data centres, civic and major infrastructure projects.Based in Adelaide, you'll join a collaborative Building Services team where you'll contribute to the design and delivery of mechanical systems while gaining exposure to technically challenging projects.As a Mechanical Engineer, you'll work closely with senior engineers, designers and other disciplines to deliver practical, sustainable and high-quality engineering solutions.What You'll DoIn this role, you will:Support the delivery of mechanical building services projects from concept design through to completionDevelop designs for HVAC, ventilation, heating, cooling and associated mechanical systemsPrepare calculations, specifications, reports and design documentationWork collaboratively with electrical, fire, hydraulics, structural and other engineering disciplinesAssist with project coordination to meet scope,



budget and program requirementsUndertake site inspections and provide technical support during constructionLiaise with clients, architects, contractors and other project stakeholdersApply the NCC, relevant Australian Standards and industry requirements to your designsContribute to technical excellence and continuous improvement within the Mechanical teamAbout YouYou will bring:3–6 years' experience in mechanical building services engineeringA degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a related disciplineExperience designing HVAC, ventilation, heating, cooling and associated building services systemsExperience within an Australian engineering consultancy or similar building services environmentExposure to sectors such as commercial, defence, healthcare, education, data centres or infrastructure will be highly regardedWorking knowledge of the National Construction Code (NCC) and relevant Australian StandardsStrong written and verbal communication skillsA collaborative approach and willingness to continue developing your technical and project delivery capabilitiesAbility to work effectively within multidisciplinary project teamsPlease note: Australian citizenship may be required for certain defence or security-sensitive projects.Why Join Us?
