Veolia is looking for a motivated Apprentice Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our Workshop team, with an immediate start available.As an apprentice, you'll learn from experienced mechanics while gaining hands-on experience servicing, maintaining and repairing a diverse range of modern trucks and equipment.
You'll play an important role in helping keep our vehicles safe, reliable and operating efficiently for our customers.What you'll learn and doAssist with servicing, maintenance and repairs on heavy vehicles and equipmentDevelop skills in fault finding and mechanical diagnosticsLearn to use advanced workshop equipment and computer-aided diagnostic technologyGain hands on experience in mechanics, hydraulics, electrical systems and welding while working alongside experienced mechanicsCarry out preventative maintenance under the guidance of qualified mechanicsFollow safe work practices and maintain a clean, organised workshopWork as part of a supportive and experienced teamComplete a Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Technology while gaining valuable hands-on workshop experienceAbout YouWe're looking for someone who is:Keen to start a career in heavy diesel mechanicsReliable, enthusiastic and willing to learnSafety focused and committed to producing quality workMechanically minded, with a genuine interest in trucks and equipmentAble to work well independently and as part of a teamCommitted to completing a full time, four-year apprenticeship,



including practical studiesHolds a current drivers licenceLight Vehicle Mechanics and candidates with previous mechanical experience are encouraged to apply.
