About Dundaloo
For more than 70 years, Dundaloo has supported people with disability on the Mid North Coast Region of NSW to live the lives they choose. We provide a range of person-centred disability support services including supported independent living, individual support, group programs, supported employment, coordination of supports, plan management, and allied health.
The roles
We are looking for multiple Support Workers to join our Supported Independent Living (SIL) team in both Taree and Forster-Tuncurry:
- Permanent part-time roles on a rotating roster covering day, afternoon, active night and sleepover shifts, including weekends.
- Casual roles with a variety of shifts across different locations. Casual roles attract a 25% loading in lieu of paid leave entitlements.
If you have a person-centred approach and want to make a real difference in people's lives, this role is for you. You'll support a small group of residents in their home with personal care, cooking, cleaning, medication, appointments and getting out into the community. You'll follow each person's support plan, write shift notes and work closely with families and other professionals.
About you
- Cert III in Individual Support (Disability) or equivalent
- 12 months experience in disability support preferred but not essential
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement)
- Current Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement)
- Current First Aid Certificate and CPR (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement)
- Current Driver's Licence
- Flexibility to work a rotating roster including nights, sleepovers and weekends
- Reliable and team-oriented, with positive written and verbal communication skills
- Moderate level of aerobic and physical fitness to undertake regular physical activities and manual handling tasks.
What we offer
- Competitive pay dependent on qualifications and experience plus penalty rates and above-award sleepover allowance
- Access to salary packaging
- Supportive and values-driven culture
- Comprehensive induction program including buddy shifts, paid training and regular supervision
- Additional annual leave for permanent staff working a seven-day rotating roster
- Comprehensive Employee Assistance Program
- Uniforms provided.
