Job Description

Whyalla Beef are currently looking to recruit an experienced and qualified Diesel Mechanic to join their team in Smithlea QLD. The successful candidate will need to undertake and possess:

- Maintain, test and repair diesel engines, transmissions, brake systems and Hydraulic systems on vehicles and other heavy plant machinery/equipment.
- Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, transmissions, engines, and other parts of vehicles, and other heavy plant machinery/equipment
- Do routine maintenance, such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment and parts on vehicles and other heavy plant machinery/equipment
- Undertake inspections, assessments and maintenance on Vehicles, and other heavy plant machinery/equipment

Skills & Abilities:

- Ideally have a minimum of 3 years’ experience as a qualified Diesel Mechanic
- A Cert III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology
- Ability to work in a team setting

Salary range is $75,000 - $85,000pa commensurate with experience Fulltime Position available Applications open on 26th October 2026 and closes on 26th November 2026.
