Take Your Electrical Career Further – Lighting Control & Automation

Elevate your electrical career by developing specialist skills in lighting control and automation.

At Control Freq, we specialise in sophisticated lighting control systems across commercial, hospitality, retail and high-end residential environments throughout Sydney. Our work involves everything from system maintenance and fault diagnosis to programming, commissioning and upgrades.

What We Offer

- Above-industry remuneration with ongoing performance reviews

- Comprehensive on-the-job training and technical mentoring

- Opportunities to develop specialist fault-finding and programming skills across C-Bus, Dynalite, DALI and KNX systems

- Diverse projects offering a mix of hands-on and technical challenges

- Company-provided vehicle, fuel card and mobile phone

- Long-term career development in a specialised field

About You

- Current NSW Electrical Contractor Licence (essential)

- Demonstrated ability in electrical fault-finding and troubleshooting

- Proven aptitude for learning and applying new technical skills

- Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgement and contribute effectively within a team

- A track record of taking ownership of your work and following problems through to resolution

- A genuine interest in technology and understanding how things work

Previous lighting control experience isn't essential. We can teach you the technology, but we're looking for someone whose technical aptitude, curiosity and approach to solving problems are already evident in what they've done, not simply what they're willing to try.

Why Join Us?

Control Freq isn't your typical electrical contracting business.

You'll join a small, supportive specialist team, working with sophisticated lighting control technologies and receiving direct mentoring from the business owner.

This is a hands‑on, field‑based technical role offering the chance to expand your expertise beyond conventional electrical installations, with an increasing focus on diagnostics, programming and commissioning as your skills develop.

Ready to Take Your Electrical Career in a New Direction?

In your application, we'd be interested to hear about something technical you've enjoyed working on or figuring out, whether at work or in your own time.

We look forward to hearing from you
