Senior Drafter | Residential Builds (ArchiCAD)

We are a well-established, reputable residential home builder with decades of success delivering quality standard ranges and custom homes across Queensland and Northern New South Wales.

Under refreshed leadership focused on operational excellence, transparency, and a positive team culture, our drafting operations are centralised in our primary Tweed Heads office.

An opportunity is available for a skilled, cooperative Mid–Senior Drafter to take on an integral role within our main drafting team, working alongside the Drafting Workflow Manager to produce high-standard residential documentation.

The Work Schedule & Culture

This office-based role is structured to offer genuine day-to-day flexibility, collaboration, and a healthy work-life balance:

- Adaptable Daily Starts: Choose your start time between 6:00 AM and 8:00 AM to suit your commute and lifestyle.
- Early Friday Finishes: Wrap up early on Fridays—typically concluding between 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM (subject to accrued hours and workload) so you can get a head start on your weekend.
- Supportive Team Environment: Work directly within a structured team comprising a Drafting Workflow Manager, five internal drafters, and two dedicated offshore team members.

Key Responsibilities

- Produce accurate, buildable working drawings and documentation using ArchiCAD.




- Manage documentation across both master standard designs and bespoke custom residential plans.
- Resolve technical detailing on challenging sites, including steep slope solutions and complex cut-and-fill projects.
- Collaborate closely with the Drafting Workflow Manager, estimating, and pre-construction teams to ensure seamless handovers.
- Coordinate workflow and technical details across internal and offshore team members to uphold documentation quality.

What We’re Looking For

- Software Capability: Solid, hands-on experience in ArchiCAD within the residential construction sector (essential).
- Residential Background: Mid-to-senior level drafting experience across standard home designs and custom residential builds.
- Site Detailing: Demonstrated competence in managing complex site challenges, including earthworks, cut-and-fill, and footing designs.
- Communication & Collaboration: Clear interpersonal skills with a team-first, solutions-driven mindset.
