As a CYMHS Mental Health Clinician, you will work within our multidisciplinary team to provide compassionate, evidence-based and person- and family-centred mental health care to children, adolescents and their families.

This is a role where you can bring both your clinical expertise and your individual strengths. You will assess mental health concerns and disorders, develop thoughtful case formulations and work collaboratively with young people and families to develop, implement and evaluate treatment that responds to their individual needs.

Your Work Will Include

- Undertaking comprehensive mental health assessments with children, young people and families.
- Developing collaborative case formulations and treatment plans.
- Providing evidence-based, client-centred psychological and therapeutic interventions.
- Managing a diverse and complex caseload across a range of presentations and treatment modalities.
- Adapting therapeutic approaches to the individual needs, circumstances and strengths of young people and their families.
- Working closely with colleagues across our multidisciplinary team and consulting with other services and agencies involved in a young person’s care.
- Participating in the CYMHS Intake roster, including triage of new referrals and timely assessment within hospital and community settings.
- Supporting consultation liaison activities with inpatient and other health services.
- Providing consultation to CYMHS colleagues and service partners.
- Contributing your knowledge, ideas and experience to the ongoing development of our service.

Who we are looking for - Of course, clinical capability matters to us, but so does who you are and what you bring to a team.

We are looking for someone who is compassionate, curious and collaborative. Someone who enjoys being part of a team, values the perspectives of others and wants to contribute positively to the workplace around them.

You might be someone who brings fresh ideas, asks thoughtful questions, shares what you know and is equally willing to learn from others. You are comfortable working within a busy and evolving clinical setting and can balance complexity with compassion.

Most importantly, we are looking for someone who wants their work to matter.

If you are passionate about improving mental health outcomes for children and young people, value genuine multidisciplinary teamwork and want to work somewhere where you can contribute, grow, belong and make an impact, we would love to hear from you.
