About the Role

Thiess is currently recruiting a Project Engineer - Civil for our Eva Copper Mine Project, located on the traditional lands of the Kalkadoon People, 75 kilometres north of Cloncurry and 95 kilometres north-east of Mount Isa.

This role is being offered as a max-term contract of between 12-18 months, providing a great opportunity to be part of an exciting new project

As a key member of the Eva Copper Alliance team, you’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality mine planning and mine engineering processes to support safe, efficient operations and ensure our workforce meets Thiess and industry standards.

Working a 2/1 roster and reporting to the Senior Project Engineer, your duties will include:

- Support the implementation of company systems and policies
- Assist with development of work schedules and construction progress tracking
- Track daily costs against budget and work with site supervisors to improve efficiencies
- Monitor quality to ensure client expectations and local authority standards are met
- Provide engineering support to on-the-ground supervisory staff
- Promote the Thiess Brand with external stakeholder including clients and their consultants
- Maintain open communications and report all issues outside your authority to your Construction Manager

About You

- Bachelor of Civil Engineering or other relevant qualification




- Strong commercial and financial acumen

- Capability to solve complex issues to arrive at best for project outcomes
- Strong communication skills that enable you to communicate at all levels
- High standard of personal and skilled integrity
- Motivation to succeed and a desire to progress your career
