The National Tertiary Education Union (NTEU) represents over 30,000 academic and professional staff across Australia's universities and tertiary education sector. We're a progressive, member-driven organisation committed to protecting workers' rights, strengthening workplace representation and creating fairer, more inclusive workplaces.
We're looking for a motivated and engaging Union Organiser to join our small, dedicated Tasmanian team, primarily supporting members at the University of Tasmania.
This is an ongoing part time opportunity at 0.5 FTE (17.5 hours per week), with the potential to increase to full-time hours (37.5 hours per week) through a fixed-term arrangement.

This isn't a role where you'll simply sit behind a desk. You'll be out connecting with people, building relationships, developing workplace leaders and helping members have a stronger voice. Working collaboratively with the Tasmanian team,
