Are you an experienced Tyre Fitter, Automotive Mechanic, or Roadside Assistance Technician looking for a change?

Blackstock Roadside Service is seeking reliable, motivated, and hands-on individuals to join our team.

This is a mobile, field-based position – not a workshop role.

You’ll be working independently on the road, travelling to customers across Melbourne to assist with vehicle breakdowns, flat tyres, battery replacements, and other roadside emergencies.

If you’ve worked in a tyre shop, mechanical workshop, or roadside assistance and have good practical automotive knowledge, we’d love to hear from you.

Previous roadside assistance experience is not essential.

We’re particularly interested in experienced tyre fitters looking to expand their skills and move into a more independent role.

Position Details

- Depot: Altona North, VIC
- Work Location: Mobile, field-based role servicing Melbourne.
- Employment: Casual positions, with full-time hours available for the right applicant.
- Working Hours: Flexible shifts between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM, depending on your availability and operational requirements.
- Weekend availability is required.

Who We’re Looking For

We welcome applications from individuals with experience in:

Tyre Fitting & Repairs

- Tyre changing, puncture repairs, and general wheel and tyre work.
- Experience working in a tyre shop or automotive workshop.

Automotive Mechanics





- Basic mechanical and electrical fault diagnosis.
- General automotive servicing and repairs.

Roadside Assistance

- Battery testing and replacement.
- Jump-starts, breakdown assistance, and minor roadside repairs.

Essential Requirements

- Must hold a current, full manual driver’s licence. Automatic-only licence holders will not be considered.
- Previous tyre fitting, mechanical, or roadside assistance experience.
- Good practical automotive knowledge and problem‑solving skills.
- Reliable, self‑motivated, and able to work independently.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work safely and efficiently.
- Willingness to learn new skills.
- Weekend availability.

Your Responsibilities

As a Mobile Roadside Assistance Technician, you’ll assist motorists with:

- Flat tyres, tyre changes, and puncture repairs.
- Battery testing, jump‑starts, and battery replacements.
- Emergency vehicle lockouts.
- Fuel delivery.
- Minor mechanical and electrical breakdowns.
- Providing skilled and friendly customer service.

You’ll be working independently in the field, attending jobs across Melbourne and assisting customers when they need help.
