QAS Cadets are embedded in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities in Queensland and train alongside paramedics to provide frontline pre-hospital care in both emergency and non-emergency settings.
The Indigenous Paramedic Program offers a supported entry-level pathway with paid study leave and tutoring, enabling Cadets to pursue a structured education pathway toward a career in paramedicine while serving and learning within their communities.
