Terry's Locksmiths is looking for an experienced and motivated Qualified Mobile Locksmith to join our growing team on the Gold Coast.

Locksmiths at Terry's can earn over $175,000 per year (inc overtime, after hours and superannuation)

Established in 1975, Terry's Locksmiths is an award-winning, medium-sized business employing over 20 team members across our mobile service division, retail showrooms and workshops. We are an Australian leader in sales and installs of Smart Locks.

With locations in Burleigh Heads and Southport, we service residential, commercial, body corporate and automotive customers throughout South East Queensland and Northern NSW.

We have built a strong reputation for quality workmanship, professional service and embracing new technologies within the locksmith industry.

We're looking for a skilled locksmith who takes pride in their work, looking to upskill in automotive, safes or smartlocks, and wants to be part of a skilled, well-supported team.

About the role

This is a full-time mobile locksmith position offering a diverse range of work, with the opportunity to develop or expand your specialist skills.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Installation, servicing and repair of residential and commercial locks and door hardware

- Rekeying, master key systems and restricted key systems

- Installation and maintenance of door closers, mortice locks, deadlocks and associated hardware

- Diagnosing and resolving lock and door hardware issues

- Installation and servicing of digital locks, smart locks and electronic security hardware

- Attending scheduled service calls and providing professional advice to customers





- Identifying customer security requirements and preparing quotations where appropriate

- Completing job documentation accurately using our mobile job management system

Experience in automotive locksmithing, safes or access control will be highly regarded, although these specialist skills are not essential.

What we're looking for

To be successful, you will ideally have:

- A recognised locksmith trade qualification

- Previous experience working independently as a mobile locksmith

- Strong general locksmithing skills across residential and commercial applications

- A current Australian driver's licence

- A current Queensland security licence, or eligibility to obtain one

- Good troubleshooting and practical problem-solving abilities

- Professional communication skills and a customer-focused attitude

- The ability to organise your workload and complete accurate job records

- Australian working rights

Additional experience in smart locks, automotive locksmithing, safes or electronic access control would be an advantage.

We don't expect every applicant to be experienced in every area of locksmithing. We're interested in capable tradespeople who are willing to learn and develop their skills.
