Bring your hands‑on SEM and Meta advertising expertise to a client‑side performance marketing role
About You
We’re looking for an experienced performance marketer with strong hands‑on expertise in search engine marketing (SEM) and Meta advertising. You’ll take campaign briefs and turn them into effective paid media activity, from understanding the audience and selecting channels through to execution, optimisation, measurement and reporting, to support RMIT’s student recruitment and marketing objectives. This role suits someone who can move comfortably between the technical and strategic sides of paid media. You’ll work with agencies and internal stakeholders, you need to be comfortable getting into the detail of campaign performance, challenging results and turning data and insights into actionable recommendations. If you’ve built your experience agency‑side and are looking to move client‑side, this is an opportunity to bring that expertise into a role where you can focus more deeply on one organisation.
To be successful in this position, you’ll have:
- Demonstrated hands‑on experience managing and optimising search engine marketing campaigns, with strong knowledge of Google Ads, Adobe Search, search strategy, bidding and conversion optimisation.
- Practical experience managing Meta advertising campaigns, including audience targeting, campaign set up, optimisation and performance analysis.
- Strong knowledge of paid media planning and strategy skills with the ability to select appropriate channels and translate campaign objectives into effective media activity.
- Strong analytical and reporting capabilities, including interpreting campaign metrics, attribution and performance reporting to inform recommendations.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work effectively and collaboratively with internal teams and brief agency partners.
- Demonstrated experience in a performance marketing or paid media role; media agency or relevant education or services‑sector experience will be highly regarded.
Please note: Appointment to this position is subject to passing a Working with Children and National Police Check.
