Manager - Internal Audit - Retail Banking

JS Careers have been engaged by a major financial institution to source an experienced Internal Audit Manager. The role will be responsible for executing and driving the internal audit plan, conducting internal audit reviews accordingly as well as preparing reports for the Board Audit Committee.

Key responsibilities will include:

Preparing reports for the Board Audit Committee.

Perform evaluation of key risks and controls across the consumer banking function.

Produce internal audit reports with findings and practical recommendations to mitigate the risks identified.

Ensure that the group auditing standard is adhered to.

Involvement in both operational as well as basic IT audits, such as review of business continuity management and IT general controls review.





Involvement in on-going reviews of major new products / systems implementations.

Provide ad hoc advice to operational units in developing and maintaining a solid control environment.

The suitable candidate will possess:

3 + years external/internal audit experience, preferably with experience auditing within the retail banking industry.

Proven experience working with senior stakeholders including group executives.

Awareness of regulatory/compliance controls.

Strong interpersonal skills.

Strong attention to detail.

Ability to multi-task.
