Senior Contract Administrator - Construction

Samssons Projects is a Melbourne builder delivering residential and commercial projects from our office in Thornbury. Our pipeline has grown, and we are expanding our commercial team to match it.

About the Role

You will carry your own portfolio of projects end to end, from letting the trades through to final account, working alongside our other contract administrators and reporting to the Director. These are your projects to run. You will not be supporting someone else's, and you will not be the only person in the business who understands a payment schedule.

What You Will Own

- Administering subcontractor progress claims and issuing payment schedules within statutory timeframes under the Security of Payment Act
- Preparing and issuing subcontract agreements, and negotiating scope and price with trades
- Assessing, pricing and defending variations, extensions of time and delay claims
- Running procurement and letting schedules across the full trade package
- Managing the shop drawing and RFI processes with subcontractors and consultants




- Final accounts, retentions, bank guarantees and project close out

About You

- At least 5 years as a Contract Administrator in construction, with recent experience on the builder side assessing claims rather than submitting them
- You have personally administered AS4000, AS4902, HIA or Master Builders current home contracts, or a builder's own subcontract form
- You have carried your own projects rather than supported someone else's
- Procore, or a comparable system you can show us you have run
- A qualification in Construction Management, Building or a related discipline
- Based in Melbourne with full working rights
