King Street Veterinary Hospital is seeking an empathetic, organised, and proactive Veterinary Receptionist to serve as the heart of our clinic. As the face and voice of our team, you will ensure our clients and their furry family members receive top-notch care from the moment they walk through the door.

Key responsibilities

- Warmly welcome pet parents, answer inquiries, and keep reception running smoothly
- Manage schedules across vets and nurses, maintain accurate patient records, and navigate multiple software systems
- Handle financial transactions, till reconciliations, and process pet insurance claims with precision
- Identify urgent medical needs to assist clinic workflow and help keep nervous pets calm
- Unpack stock, assist with orders,



and maintain a neat, tidy, and welcoming front-of-house space

About you

- High emotional intelligence with the ability to maintain composure during challenging conversations or busy periods
- Empathetic toward pets and people, while maintaining balanced boundaries and personal well-being
- Proactive worker who finds tasks during quiet moments and strives to improve clinic processes
- Excellent communicator who collaborates seamlessly across the whole veterinary team
- Prior reception experience in medical or veterinary fields is highly desirable
