QuIVAA

Brisbane

QuIVAA is a peer-led organisation. We work with and for people who use or have used drugs, their families and their communities. Lived-living leadership is at the centre of our advocacy, projects and training. We work collectively, from abstinence to harm reduction, with services, researchers, government and communities, and we are guided by the Elders who laid the foundation for our voice.

QuIVAA is an equal prospect employer. We particularly encourage people with lived-living experience and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to apply.

About the role

The Project and Training Manager will manage QuIVAA’s projects and lead the in-house team that delivers them, including a team of lived-living experience workers, and will deliver some training. Working with the CEO, the role exercises initiative and independent judgement in project planning, team leadership, reporting and evaluation. Travel to deliver training is required, including occasional overnight stays.

Key responsibilities

Project management: plan, deliver and monitor projects on time and on budget against funding agreements, work plans and KPIs. Manage risks, budgets and acquittals with the CEO.

Team leadership: supervise, mentor and support project and peer workers. Run team meetings and rosters, support wellbeing, and build capability and career pathways for lived-living experience staff.

Training delivery: deliver training as needed and help evaluate and improve it.

Reporting and evaluation: collect and report data, write progress and final reports, and contribute to evaluation and funding applications.
