Job Description
/n Zerella Fresh is one of Australia’s largest grower and packers of Carrots, Onions and Potatoes supplying Australia’s leading supermarket chains plus independents and exports. /n /n We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Market Store Manager to join our team on a full time permanent basis at our Pooraka Market store located in Adelaide. /n /n Reporting to the Shared Services Manager, the Market Store Manager will be responsible for ensuring that the Zerella Market store meets both short and long-term profit and tonnage objectives through the advancement of existing and new markets, and product lines; underpinned by active daily sales negotiations. /n /n Duties include: /n /n /n
- Manage sales and supply to optimise Pye Group outcomes. /n
- Identify and develop new SKUs and packaging. /n
- Build relationships with internal and external suppliers and manage the quality of all incoming produce, including payment. /n
- Ensure all stock is rotated and managed to achieve quality requirements. /n
- Responsible for the effective management of all market store employees to include recruitment, performance management and employee development and training. /n
- Ensure that the store is clean, tidy and has an inspiring market presence. /n
- Perform customer deliveries and supplier pickups as required. /n
- Monitor debtors and ensure contracts are maintained within agreed terms. /n
- Optimally manage returnable packaging to ensure no losses and minimise cycle times. /n




- Implement and comply with all Pye Group policies and procedures including WHS, Quality & HR. /n
- Respond to varying external and internal environments and issues, such that the Pye Group’s performance is optimised and its market position and assets are protected. /n
- All other directions of management to achieve the company’s objectives. /n /n /n

Requirements:
/n /n /n
- Five – seven years experience in the same or similar role /n
- Fruit and vegetable sales and buying experience. /n
- Results focused with functional knowledge of industry processes. /n
- Excellent communication and organisational skills. /n
- Strong business acumen with well-developed problem-solving skills. /n
- Respect for others and pride in team’s performance. /n
