Lead complex commercial construction projects from tender and estimating through to successful delivery./n Your new company /n Hays Recruitment is partnering with a well-established construction business to recruit an experienced Project Manager for a permanent opportunity based in the Hobart region. The organisation has a strong focus on relationships, integrity, safety and quality and is seeking an experienced construction professional to play a key role within their team. Your new role /n Reporting to the Construction Manager, you will lead complex commercial construction projects from initial tender and estimating through to completion. This senior position combines hands-on project delivery with estimating and commercial oversight, while maintaining strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers and key stakeholders. /n

Key responsibilities
include: /n /n
- Leading the planning, estimating and delivery of complex commercial construction projects /n
- Preparing and overseeing tenders, estimates and cost plans /n
- Managing budgets, programmes, cost control and commercial risk /n
- Managing client and stakeholder relationships throughout the project life cycle /n
- Overseeing contract interpretation, negotiation and compliance /n
- Providing commercial and technical input into tenders, procurement and programming /n
- Leading project handovers and driving a collaborative approach to delivery /n
- Mentoring project and estimating team members /n
- Ensuring compliance with quality, health, safety and environmental requirements. /n

What you'll need
to succeed /n /nYou will be an experienced construction professional with a strong background in project management,



or an experienced site manager looking to progress your career. Ideally, you will have demonstrated experience delivering complex construction or infrastructure projects valued above $10 million, together with strong commercial knowledge and an understanding of construction contracts and tendering processes. /n /nYou will also bring:/n /n
- Relevant qualifications in construction, project management, estimating or a related discipline /n
- Strong programming, planning and commercial skills /n
- Experience reading plans, specifications and technical drawings /n
- Robust client and stakeholder management skills /n
- Sound knowledge of estimating and project management software /n
- Strong numeracy, analytical and problem-solving skills /n
