Working closely with renters, support services and community partners, you'll build strong relationships, resolve challenges and help create positive housing outcomes.

No two days are the same. From managing tenancies and coordinating property maintenance to navigating complex situations and connecting people with support, you'll make a real difference in the lives of the people and communities we serve.

This is a full time, ongoing opportunity classified at SCHADS Award Level 4, primarily based at our Melbourne office, with some travel required.

As the Place Manager, you will:

- Manage a portfolio of renters and properties within a designated geographical area.
- Build positive and respectful relationships with renters to support successful and sustainable tenancies.
- Coordinate property maintenance, inspections and vacancy management to ensure homes are safe, compliant and well maintained.
- Work collaboratively with renters, support services, contractors and government agencies to achieve positive outcomes.
- Proactively monitor rent accounts and work with renters to address arrears in a supportive and solutions-focused way.
- Support renters to navigate tenancy issues, disputes and challenges in line with legislation, policies and best practice.
- Encourage renter participation and engagement through consultation opportunities, events and feedback mechanisms.

- Maintain accurate records and contribute to the delivery of high-quality housing services.

We're looking for someone with:

- Experience in housing, homelessness, community services, property management or a related field.
- Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and dispute resolution skills.
- The resilience to manage challenging situations and competing priorities while maintaining a positive and solutions-focused approach.
- Knowledge of tenancy and housing issues, with an understanding of the Residential Tenancies Act highly regarded.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
- A genuine commitment to supporting people experiencing disadvantage to achieve positive housing outcomes.

At Unison, we believe in rewarding your dedication with benefits that truly make a difference. You'll enjoy access to:

- Rostered days off to recharge
- Salary packaging of up to $15,900 tax-free to increase your take-home pay
- Five weeks of annual leave plus 17.5% leave loading
- 18 days of personal leave
- Up to 22 weeks of gender-neutral paid parental leave
- Comprehensive wellbeing and professional development programs
