The Business Support Officer is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of Health Industry Training. This role includes managing staff across training and administration, ensuring quality delivery of accredited programs, and maintaining compliance with relevant regulatory and accreditation requirements. The Business Support Officer will develop and implement operational plans and drive continuous improvement in student support, program coordination, and stakeholder engagement. They will collaborate closely with the Executive Director to align organisational goals, and foster a positive, student-centered culture. The role also involves building relationships with employers and industry partners, addressing operational issues as they arise, and supporting strategic initiatives that enhance the organisation's reputation and impact. In addition, the role is responsible for managing IT equipment, software and the advanced student management system.

About you

- Experience in the VET or RTO sector,



with solid understanding of regulatory frameworks, compliance requirements, and quality assurance standards
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including the ability to work effectively with students, employers, industry partners, and regulatory bodies
- Proven ability in student or client support, with a focus on empathy and problem-solving
- Relevant tertiary qualification in business management, education, or a related field, or equivalent experience in a senior management role
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with the ability to use data and feedback to inform operational and strategic decisions
- High level of digital literacy, including familiarity with training management systems, CRM tools, and standard office software
- Commitment to lifelong learning and career development
