About the role

Elev8tor Company is seeking one Mechanical Engineering Technician and one Electrical Engineering Technician to support installation, maintenance and project teams providing vertical transportation solutions for residential, commercial and industrial clients.

Key responsibilities

Mechanical Engineering Technician:

- Prepare drawings and layouts for lift installations and upgrades in residential and commercial buildings
- Assist engineers with the design and modification of lift equipment, such as lift cars, doors, guide rails and machines
- Select the right tools and equipment for each installation or service job
- Assemble and install lift components, including motors, pulleys, door systems and hydraulic units
- Estimate materials, costs and equipment needed for quotes and projects
- Carry out and supervise on-site testing of lifts before handover and after major repairs
- Record and analyse test results and prepare technical reports and diagrams
- Plan and oversee routine inspections and maintenance of lifts in client buildings
- Check that all work meets project specifications, Australian Standards and building and safety requirements

Electrical Engineering Technician:

- Prepare wiring diagrams and drawings for lift electrical systems in residential and commercial buildings
- Assist engineers with the design and layout of lift control panels, power supply, cabling and motor controls
- Carry out electrical tests and calculations, and record results in charts and test reports
- Estimate electrical materials,



costs and quantities for quotes and projects
- Check designs and completed electrical work against specifications, Australian Standards and safety requirements
- Install, test, adjust and repair lift electrical equipment, such as controllers, call buttons, sensors and safety circuits
- Assemble and fit out lift control panels in the workshop, including relays, meters and indicators
- Assist with trialling current lift control systems and components

About you

- Qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, or at least 3 years of relevant work experience (Mechanical Engineering Technician)
- Qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related field, or at least 3 years of relevant work experience (Electrical Engineering Technician)
- Current NSW electrical licence highly regarded (Electrical Engineering Technician)
- Experience in lifts, elevators or related mechanical or electrical equipment is highly regarded
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Strong problem-solving, communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work across multiple sites
- Current driver's licence preferred
