Protech is seeking motivated and reliable Field Officers to join the Fire Ant Eradication Program with Biosecurity Queensland, working from the Virginia Depot. This is an excellent prospect for people who enjoy working outdoors, exploring different environments, and being part of an important initiative protecting Queensland from invasive pests.

About the role

- Conducting visual surveillance for fire ants and other insect pests
- Applying bait treatments in targeted areas
- Recording field observations and collecting accurate data
- Completing daily reports and record-keeping activities
- Driving a company vehicle between assigned locations
- Engaging with members of the public and providing information when required

Pre-employment requirements

- Ability to pass a Drug & Alcohol Screening
- Ability to obtain and pass a National Police Check
