Now you want more influence over the team you lead, the work you pursue and how the business develops.

TalentFix is partnering with a global engineering consultancy to appoint a Technical Director to lead and grow its Australian T&D; capability.

Your experience will help shape the practice.

You’ll lead multidisciplinary design delivery across transmission lines, substations, synchronous condensers and utility panel projects. You’ll bring together Australian teams and global design resources, taking responsibility for technical quality, delivery and commercial outcomes.

You’ll also work directly with the ANZ leadership team on where the business goes next. That means strengthening client relationships, identifying opportunities, recruiting good people and giving them the support to develop.

- Set technical direction across projects from feasibility and concept through detailed design.
- Lead engineers across disciplines and locations, with explicit expectations and accountability.
- Build trusted relationships with utilities and delivery partners.
- Help shape bids,



project scopes and the opportunities the business pursues.
- Grow a team whose work you’re proud to stand behind.

You’ll bring a strong engineering foundation and the judgement that comes from delivery.

- Your background could be in transmission line engineering, HV substation design or multidisciplinary T&D; design management.
- You’ll have worked on Australian power infrastructure and understand what it takes to deliver against local standards, client requirements and commercial commitments.
- You’re comfortable challenging a design, guiding an experienced engineer and talking through a difficult decision with a client.
- You also enjoy developing people and understand that growing a practice takes consistent attention to relationships, capability and delivery.
- You may already be a Technical Director.
- You could equally be a Principal Engineer, Design Manager or Engineering Manager whose responsibilities have grown beyond the title.
- An Electrical or Civil/Structural Engineering qualification is expected, with CPEng, NER or RPEQ accreditation valued.

- The role can be based in Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane, with flexible and hybrid working supported.
