Transcend Workforce has opportunities for Experienced Mechanical Assemblers to join a busy manufacturer of Elevating Work Platforms (EWPs) in Bayswater.
About the role
Working the day shiftyou'll be involved in assembling high-quality truck-mounted equipment, including EWPs, vehicle bodies, trays, hydraulic systems and accessories.
What you'll be doing
- Assembling EWPs, vehicle trays, undertrays, hydraulic hoses, body components and accessories.
- Working from engineering drawings and specifications.
- Completing mechanical assembly work to a high standard.
- Operating overhead cranes and material-handling equipment safely once trained.
- Working with other departments to meet production schedules.
- Following workplace health and safety procedures and contributing to a safe workplace.
What we're looking for
- Experience in mechanical assembly, vehicle body building,
heavy equipment, manufacturing or a similar field is desirable.
- A positive attitude and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings is advantageous but not essential.
- A Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade, or a relevant qualification in bus, truck and trailer manufacturing, is preferred but not essential.
- A forklift licence and/or overhead crane experience is desirable.
