Momentum Clinical Research is recruiting a Site Manager for our established Sunshine site, creating an exceptional opportunity for an ambitious clinical research professional to lead an existing team and drive continued success.

As our Site Manager / Study Coordinator, you will support and develop the team, strengthen effective ways of working, nurture local relationships and take genuine ownership of the site’s performance and culture.

This is a hands‑on leadership role for someone motivated by delivering high‑quality clinical research, developing people and driving continuous improvement.

Momentum Clinical Research forms a 20‑site network across Australia and New Zealand, delivering world‑class clinical trials from Phase I through Phase IV, including through a dedicated Phase I business unit.

Our expanded operational scale, integrated systems and growing team position us as one of Australasia’s most capable and agile clinical trial delivery platforms.

The opportunity

This position combines approximately 60% Study Coordination and 40% Site Management. You will lead the day‑to‑day operation and delivery of studies at our Sunshine site while remaining closely involved in participant care and clinical research activities.

Reporting to the Research Area Manager, you will have direct responsibility for site staff and play a central role in supporting a high‑performing, inclusive and participant‑focused team.

You will:





Lead our established Sunshine site, taking ownership of its operational performance and ongoing development.

Lead, motivate and develop the site team, supporting recruitment as required.

Manage daily site operations, staffing, workflow and resources.

Oversee study delivery, timelines, data quality, performance and safety compliance.

Coordinate clinical trials and research studies to the required quality, regulatory and ethical standards.

Undertake participant assessments, study visits, informed consent processes and medical documentation as required.

Support Investigators and supervise Clinical Research Coordinators, Nurses and Clinical Trial Assistants.

Manage site budgets and monitor performance and operational efficiency.

Maintain study documentation, reporting, audit readiness and Good Clinical Practice compliance.

Identify and elevate clinical risks and adverse events appropriately, ensuring participant safety.

Maintain and strengthen local relationships with investigators, clinicians, hospitals, universities, clinics, GPs and advocacy groups.

Lead confidently through change while driving continuous improvement in quality, efficiency and outcomes.

You will bring:

A strong background in clinical research operations.

Experience managing site operations, teams or projects within a regulated healthcare or research environment.

Strong knowledge of Good Clinical Practice, clinical trial governance, and regulatory and ethical requirements.

Hold an AHPRA registration

The ability to balance operational leadership with hands‑on clinical responsibilities.

Proven stakeholder engagement and relationship‑building experience.

Strong influencing, collaboration and problem‑solving capabilities.

A calm and objective approach when working under pressure.

Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality and participant safety.
