Punchbowl Bus Company Pty Ltd is seeking a Bus Driver to join our team in Sydney, NSW. This is a casual position offering flexibility and the opportunity to work on a variable schedule based on operational requirements. As a Bus Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting passengers whilst maintaining high standards of customer service and adhering to all relevant transport regulations and safety protocols.

What you'll be doing

- Operating buses safely and efficiently, following all traffic laws and company safety procedures
- Transporting passengers to designated destinations in a professional and courteous manner
- Conducting routine vehicle checks and reporting any mechanical issues or maintenance concerns
- Managing passenger boarding and alighting, ensuring smooth transitions at each stop
- Maintaining accurate records of routes, schedules and passenger incidents as required
- Providing clear communication to passengers regarding routes, stops and any service disruptions
- Adhering to timetables and meeting punctuality targets
- Ensuring the bus remains clean and presentable throughout shifts
- Responding professionally to passenger enquiries and complaints
- Complying with all health, safety and regulatory requirements specific to public transport operations

What we’re looking for

- A current, valid Heavy Rigid (HR) or Passenger Vehicle (PV) driver's licence issued in Current South Wales or equivalent
- A current National Police Clearance or willingness to obtain one
- Proven experience as a bus driver or in a similar passenger transport role




- Strong knowledge of Sydney's road networks and geography
- Excellent driving record with no major traffic violations
- Demonstrated commitment to safe driving practices and defensive driving techniques
- Outstanding customer service skills and the ability to interact professionally with diverse passenger groups
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Reliability and punctuality in meeting scheduled shifts
- The ability to work independently and make sound decisions in challenging situations
- A proactive approach to identifying and reporting safety concerns
- Flexibility to work casual shifts, including early mornings, evenings and weekends as required
