The Opportunity
Xenco is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to support a range of project activities at a gold mining operation in New South Wales. The scope includes mining infrastructure works involving raise boring, alongside crushing and screening activities focused on low-grade material and supporting its return to production. This role will suit a well-rounded project professional with experience managing complex mining projects, coordinating specialist contractors and working across both infrastructure and operational interfaces. This is a 6-month FIFO contract, with the potential for renewal.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead project planning, coordination, execution and delivery across assigned work scopes.
- Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, resources and contractor performance.
- Coordinate raise boring activities and associated mining infrastructure works.
- Oversee project activities relating to crushing, screening and material handling.
- Work closely with site operations, engineering, maintenance and specialist contractors.
- Monitor project progress, manage risks and resolve delivery challenges.
- Maintain solid safety, quality and cost-control standards.
- Provide clear progress reporting and ensure project activities align with operational requirements.
About You
- Proven experience as a Senior Project Manager within the mining sector.
- Experience delivering mining infrastructure, underground development or raise boring projects.
- Exposure to mineral processing, crushing and screening, or materials handling projects.
- Strong project management capabilities across planning, execution, budgets and schedules.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate contractors and multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication and problem-solving skills.
- A practical, delivery-focused approach with a strong commitment to safety.
- Ability to work FIFO to site in New South Wales.
