- Plan, coordinate, and manage technical participation in FATs, SATs, site inspections, and commissioning reviews.
- Maintain registers for technical issues, design changes, RFIs, interfaces, and deliverables related to assigned workstreams.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- At least 5 years of experience in HV engineering, substations, utilities, renewable energy, or large-scale electrical infrastructure projects.
- Proven capability in managing engineering deliverables and interfaces during design, construction, or commissioning stages of HV assets.
- Hands-on experience working with EPC contractors, engineering consultants, and OEMs to resolve technical issues and manage design changes.
- In-depth understanding of Australian electrical standards and safety requirements.
- Expertise in HV substations and delivering technical components of electrical infrastructure.
- Strong competence in interpreting single-line diagrams, equipment drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
- Technical knowledge of transformers, switchgear, HV cables, protection and control systems, and associated infrastructure.
- Robust problem-solving skills with the ability to independently address technical issues and implement effective solutions.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Partner with project teams to ensure technical deliverables are achieved within timelines and scope.
- Conduct technical reviews of designs, specifications, and equipment data.
- Lead coordination meetings to resolve technical challenges and align stakeholders.
- Monitor technical change registers and evaluate their impact on project timelines.
- Participate in on-site inspections, FATs, SATs, and commissioning efforts.
- Maintain comprehensive records of technical challenges, design changes, and engineering deliverables.
Benefits of the Role
