Job Description

KeyResponsibilities

- Design, build, andoptimise batch and streaming data pipelines using approved frameworks andtooling.

- Ensure pipelines areresilient, performant, and cost optimised.

- Implement monitoring,alerting, and automated recovery processes.

- Apply data quality checksand reconciliation processes to ensure accuracy and completeness.

- Maintain metadata,lineage, and documentation to support governance requirements.

- Adhere to role-basedaccess control, data privacy, and security standards.

- Contribute to thedevelopment and maintenance of ingestion frameworks, transformationlayers, and data models.

- Implement and maintainCI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment.

- Optimise data storage andretrieval strategies to meet performance needs.





- Work closely withTechnical Leads, Data Architects, Analysts, and business stakeholders todeliver fit-for-purpose solutions.

- Participate in codereviews and knowledge-sharing sessions to improve team capability.

- Explore and adopt newtools, frameworks, and techniques to enhance engineering capability.

- Identify opportunities toautomate and streamline workflows.

KeySkills & Experience

- Proficient in SQL fordata wrangling, transformation, and analysis

- Experience buildingETL/ELT pipelines in cloud or distributed environments

- Familiarity with cloudplatforms and services

- Knowledge of datamodeling concepts

- Experience with dataorchestration tools

- Familiar with versioncontrol and CI/CD pipelines

- Understanding of dataquality, validation, and observability practices

- Works independently withminimal supervision on well-scoped tasks

- Collaborates effectivelywith stakeholders

- Communicates clearly anddocuments work for others to maintain or build upon

- Open to code reviews,feedback, and continuous learning

- Able to troubleshoot andresolve data pipeline failures or performance issues

- 2–4 years in a dataengineering or closely related role

Demonstrated ability to improve code quality, reliability, or performance
