EZSVS is a global provider of end-to-end data centre lifecycle services, supporting customers across the internet, OEM/ODM server manufacturing, data centre, financial, government and enterprise sectors. Founded in 2005, EZSVS has grown into an international organisation with operations and service coverage across Asia-Pacific, Europe, the Americas, the Middle East and Africa. Our capabilities span data centre infrastructure, supply chain and project implementation, IT operations and maintenance, and cloud and intelligent computing services.
About the Role
We're looking for two Data Centre Technicians to join our existing on-site IT technician team at our data centre site.
This is a hands-on hardware role. You'll carry out field maintenance and component replacement on GPU server fleets, work alongside remote L2 engineers and OEM support teams to restore faults, and keep accurate repair and asset records throughout. You'll report to the Site Manager and Technical Project Manager.
We provide manufacturer training and certification on the specific server platforms you'll be working on. You'll complete OEM training and practical assessment before carrying out authorised repairs independently — so this is a strong role for a technician who wants to build formally certified GPU and high-performance hardware experience.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out pre-repair checks against the work order, confirming equipment model, serial number, rack location, reported fault and scope of authorisation
Replace field-replaceable components within the manufacturer-approved scope — drives, memory, fans, power supplies, NICs, optics and cabling — in line with the platform service manual
Once trained and authorised on a given platform, perform approved GPU module and related component replacements; escal..? = "escalate faults outside your authorisation to the OEM"
Work with remote L2 and OEM teams to capture hardware alarms, BMC logs and device status, isolate faults within scope, and verify operation after repair
Follow ESD, power isolation, work-verification and manual handling requirements, using the specified tools and lifting aids
Record pre- and post-replacement serial numbers, repair steps and verification results; close work orders and hand over faulty parts for RMA
Manage repair spares and check parts availability; complete shift handovers and escalated major faults
Attend OEM training, practical assessments and ongoing platform update training
About You
We're looking for someone practical and methodical, who works accurately to a procedure and knows when to stop and escal... = "escalate"
You will ideally have:
2+ years in data centre operations, server hardware maintenance or field technical services (equivalent hands-on capability may be assessed practically)
Direct personal experience removing, replacing and verifying server components, with specific examples you can talk through
Familiarity with server architecture, rack cabling, BMC management and common hardware alarms
Ability to read English service manuals and OEM instructions, and to complete English work orders and on-site communication
Ability to follow SOPs and MOPs, change approval and confidentiality requirements, and to pause and escal... = "elevate" when something is outside scope
Australian working rights without restriction on the hours this role requires, and availability for the agreed in office roster
Willingness to complete OEM platform training and assessment, and to work only within your authorised scope until certified
Mandarin language skills are valued for communication with customers and remote technical teams
If you're a hands-on technician who takes pride in doing hardware work correctly and wants formal certification on GPU platforms, we'd like to hear from you.
