Business Development Manager - Insurance & Finance (QS / Estimating)

Build Metric is a fast-growing Australian construction estimating business. We price residential and commercial work for builders and trades across the country, backed by a large, experienced estimating team.

We're now expanding into the insurance and finance sectors with QS and estimating services, and we need someone to lead the charge.

About the role

This is a new business role. You'll open doors, build relationships and grow a steady flow of work for our delivery team, focusing on two markets:

Insurance: insurers, loss adjusters, claims managers and related service providers that need reliable repair cost estimates.

Finance: banks, non-bank lenders, private funders and finance brokers that need construction cost reporting.

What you'll do

Build and manage a pipeline of insurance and finance clients

Win supplier and panel appointments, and manage client onboarding

Turn pilot jobs into ongoing monthly volume

Represent Build Metric at industry events and networking functions

Work with our estimating leads on pricing,



turnaround and report standards

Keep the CRM up to date and report on pipeline and sales results

Feed back what clients need so we can build the right products

About you

3+ years in business development or account management, ideally in insurance, construction, quantity surveying or finance

An existing network in the insurance or finance sectors is highly regarded

A good understanding of construction. A trade, estimating or QS background is a bonus.

Comfortable selling a qualified service where trust and turnaround win the work

Self-driven, organised, and happy to build something new rather than inherit a client list

Current driver's licence; Melbourne-based with travel interstate as needed
