Job Description

About the Role

Based from our Melbourne office, you'll take ownership of BMS projects across a diverse portfolio of commercial sites – including new installations, system upgrades, Niagara migrations, integrations and energy optimisation works.

You'll manage each project end to end, from design and procurement through to commissioning, handover and documentation, while building solid long-term relationships with clients, builders and stakeholders.

What You'll Be Doing

- Manage the full project lifecycle of BMS projects up to approximately $1M, from award through to practical completion and handover.
- Oversee project planning and delivery, including design options and solutions, procurement, scheduling, safety management and documentation.
- Review and develop BMS designs, points schedules, functional descriptions and control strategies.




- Coordinate and schedule BMS technicians, programmers, electrical subcontractors and suppliers.
- Monitor project budgets, costs, variations, invoicing and subcontractor pricing to deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Oversee installation, programming, integration (BACnet, Modbus etc.) and commissioning of BMS systems.
- Provide high-level stakeholder engagement with clients, builders, consultants and facility managers, managing expectations throughout delivery.
- Prepare and review project documentation including O&M; manuals, as-builts, commissioning records and handover packs.
- Promote a safe working environment through SWMS review, site safety management and compliance with safe work practices.
- Support estimating and the preparation of quotations and technical proposals for new projects.
- Identify opportunities for system optimisation, energy efficiency improvements and new business.

What You'll Bring

- Minimum 3 years experience managing BMS or controls projects, ideally in the commercial building services or construction industry. Experienced BMS engineers with strong technical skills and exposure to project delivery will also be considered.
- Proven experience managing projects up to approximately $1M, including budgets, programmes and subcontractors.
- Strong technical knowledge of BMS architecture,



controls and HVAC systems.
- Ability to prioritise and work to tight deadlines across multiple concurrent projects.
- Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, including strong stakeholder engagement.
- Current White Card (Construction Induction Card).
- Current Driver Licence.
- A solid commitment to safety and quality outcomes.
- Current Australian working rights (or the right to work in Australia).
- Experience with Niagara AX and/or Niagara N4 platforms (Niagara Certification highly regarded).
- Experience with Distech, Honeywell WEBS or other major BMS platforms.
- Knowledge of integration protocols such as BACnet, Modbus and LonWorks.
- Estimating and tendering experience.
- Electrical Licence or Restricted Electrical Licence.
- Experience with energy management, NABERS or building analytics projects.
