About the Opportunity
We are considering candidates for Line Setter and Maintenance Technician positions, including experienced professionals capable of performing both functions in Sunshine West.
Responsibilities will be aligned with each candidate’s technical skills, qualifications and experience.
We are looking for a hands-on, mechanically minded professional who can confidently set up, adjust and troubleshoot production machinery.
This position is ideal for someone with strong technical experience in filling or packaging operations who enjoys solving mechanical problems and keeping production lines running efficiently.
Remuneration will be determined based on the successful candidate’s qualifications, technical experience and the responsibilities of the position, in accordance with applicable industrial requirements.
This is a technical, hands-on position - not a general production or packing role.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently set up and prepare filling and packaging machinery for production.
- Perform machine changeovers for different products and packaging formats.
- Make mechanical adjustments to optimise machine performance.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical faults and production issues.
- Monitor machine operation, filling accuracy and product quality.
- Conduct pre-start inspections and assist with production-line startup.
- Perform routine equipment checks and basic maintenance within your training and authorisation.
- Work closely with production and maintenance teams to minimise downtime.
- Follow GMP, safety, hygiene and quality procedures.
What We’re Looking For
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in machine setup, adjustments and changeovers.
- Strong practical mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience operating automated or semi-automated production machinery.
- Ability to identify and resolve mechanical issues with minimal supervision.
- Previous experience in filling, packaging or similar manufacturing operations.
- Solid attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
- Good communication skills and a reliable work ethic.
Highly Regarded
- Experience with bottle or tube filling machines.
- Knowledge of capping, sealing, labelling or packaging equipment.
- Experience in cosmetics, pharmaceutical, food, beverage or FMCG manufacturing.
- Mechanical trade qualifications or technical training.
- Experience with HMI-controlled or PLC-based equipment.
- Previous exposure to equipment maintenance or commissioning.
