The CNC Operator / Factory Hand sets up and runs Acculine's CNC equipment to cut and fabricate products accurately, on time and with minimal waste. The role also works as a Factory Hand across broader factory operations, including fabrication, assembly, stock control, packing and dispatch, so that customer orders leave the factory complete and to specification.

Key responsibilities

- Set up, run and monitor the CNC router / panel saw to cut PVC, vinyl, acrylic and aluminium sheet and profile products
- Interpret drawings, cutting lists and job cards; load, adjust and verify CNC programs
- Import, check and edit CAD drawings and DXF files, and prepare them for nesting and cutting
- Optimise nesting and cutting layouts to maximise sheet yield and reduce offcut waste
- Complete first-off checks and in-process measurements against drawings and tolerances
- Change tooling, clean and calibrate equipment, and complete scheduled preventive maintenance
- Fabricate, assemble and finish products, including corner guards, handrails, crash rails, door protection plates and wall panels
- Pick, pack and label orders and prepare consignments for third-party freight carriers
- Receive inbound goods, check them against purchase orders and report shortages or damage
- Record job progress, material usage,

About you

- Demonstrated experience operating a CNC router, panel saw or similar machinery in a manufacturing, joinery or fabrication setting
- Ability to read technical drawings and measure accurately
- CAD experience or experience working with DXF files, including importing, checking and editing drawings for CNC cutting
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment
- Basic computer skills for job, stock and production data entry
- Reliable, organised and able to work on your own and in a small team
- Full working rights in Australia
- Forklift licence (desirable)
- Experience with plastics, aluminium or architectural products (desirable)
